Through millennia we have expressed ourselves through singing, dancing, playing, storytelling, handcrafts, etc. Only for past century have we replaced that self-expression with materialism and things and services we buy. We have become consumers – and as the population explosion has taken place at the same time, we are currently consuming our only planet faster than it can renew its resources.
